Retro slides: Paris, October 1987 -- Fountains at the Jardins du Trocadéro

Directly across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower and created for the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne (1937), the gardens feature a long water basin and dozens of fountains, including twenty powerful water cannons which can project water about 150 feet.  A view of the gardens from the top of the Eiffel Tower can be seen in the previous post.
