1963!

Back when the earth's crust was still cooling, this was my 4th grade class on Picture Day sometime in the spring of 1963, posed on the front lawn of Alice Waller Elementary School in Louisville, Kentucky. Our teacher was Mrs. Leffa Moore. I'm not able to identify everyone. If there are any former classmates reading this, I'll be happy for any help and will correct any errors or omissions. Above: TOP ROW me, Hal Hart, Mike Barclay, Jimmy Brister, Gary Davis, Daniel Doering, Carolyn McFall, Robin Shelton, ?, Mrs. Moore, Lori Maranville, ?, Charles French. MIDDLE ROW Debbie Campbell, Debbie Redfern, Bette Johnson, Sharon Woodring, Patricia Bradshaw, Lorene Skaggs BOTTOM ROW: Rebecca Royalty, Virginia Holbrook, Michelle Souder, Becky Hawkins, Martha Playton, Kathy Richardson

Now just the girls. TOP ROW Carolyn McFall, ?, Lori Maranville MIDDLE ROW Debbie Campbell, Debbie Redfern, Bette Johnson, Sharon Woodring, Patricia Bradshaw, Lorene Skaggs BOTTOM ROW Rebecca Royalty, Virigina Holbrook, Michelle Souder, Becky Hawkins, Martha Playton, Kathy Richardson

Just the boys: TOP ROW Charles French, me, Gary Davis, Mike Barclay, ? BOTTOM ROW Gary Black, Jimmy Brister, Daniel Doering, Robin Shelton, Hal Hart. Behind us is Fluhr's Auto Parts (now gone). Come to think of it, the school is gone, too. Built in the 1950s, it was torn down sometime in the 1990s. Now on the site is something the world desperately needed -- another Home Depot.

Thanks to Lori Maranville Garland for posting these pictures to me, originally taken by Sharon Woodring Barber.
